It's not likely that there is anyone in the Hungarian party scene who hasn't heard about Zsolt and his eclectic music, always a step ahead of its time. This athletic guy has already been in the ring for 10 years now, and there has been nobody who could ever knock him out. It's true though that it would be hard to find anyone who could do that, and it's not only because of the undoubtedly extreme amount of time he spends on searching and playing records. This 41-year-old quiet man had - and still has - a great effect on a great many of the Hungarian underground DJs. His calm fanatism of crossing the barriers between different styles and always playling the most up-to-date, the most unique and progressive pieces of music has led thousands of people to acknowledge the existence of those producers and musicians working in obscurity.
Without him there would be no Hungarian underground dance music - or at least not on this level. Though Zsolt, coming from the city of Gyõr, soon dropped out from the College of Physical Education, which he originally chose to follow the steps of his father, an internationally well-known football judge. He managed to stay fit though, deejaying in the Tilos az Á club every night for 10-12 hours, year after year. He was the one to introduce the usual variety of music in the Tilos az Á club - punk, jazz and hip-hop through folk music to early acid - to the Tilos Radio, which in those days was broadcasting as a pirate radio station. For a long time Zsolt was the only musician in the Á-club as well as in the Radio, but just before it was getting too much for him, the young & fresh DJ generation has appeared, who learned everything that could be learnt about music from him. Since then more than one generation of young DJ-s have grown up on the music he played at parties and on the Radio. Though he is already over 40 he has the fresh ear of a teenager and he always strives to show never heard melodies and rhythms to the public instead of the regular hits and styles.- Kata Losonczi was born on 30 October 1983 in Györ, Hungary.
